From Raw Beef Suet to Botanical Skincare: Inside Hightower Apothecary

At Hightower Tallow Co., every jar begins with locally sourced Louisiana beef suet, carefully rendered through a multi-stage process to create clean, nourishing tallow.

We then infuse the warm tallow with real dried botanicals and aromatic resins, including rosemary, lemon, frankincense, and myrrh. Each infusion is prepared slowly over gentle heat for eight hours or longer, allowing the ingredients to blend naturally.

After straining, we add carefully selected oils such as jojoba, olive oil, vitamin E, bakuchiol, squalane, and sea buckthorn oil, depending on the formulation.

Our infused tallow is then poured into rich balms or whipped into a lighter, creamier texture. Every small batch is handcrafted with patience, purpose, and attention to detail.

Our faith and appreciation for traditional craftsmanship are at the heart of everything we do.
